Robert Hall is bringing Old Scratch to your door

Is this the modern day version of the Heavy Metal heavyweight Trick or Treat? Robert Hall, make-up man and director of the squishy slasher Laid To Rest looks to make the kind of film he grew up with that combined rock and horror like Rock ‘n’ Roll Nightmare and Black Roses. The impressive cast includes Ashley Laurence (Hellraiser), Thomas Dekker (A Nightmare on Elm Street), and Rob Schneider.

Neven is a washed up musician living in his own faded shadow in Atlanta. One night, after another sparsely attended gig, one of his former bandmates Terry shows up and plays one of their own demo records backwards with fatal consequences. Now he must return to his roots and revisit a past he had hoped would stay forever buried. He has to find all six cursed demo records and decipher the eerie hidden messages before more blood is shed.

    Truth be told, she looked good then, but the 80′s were an interesting time for hot women. A lot of them look better now.

    I loved LAID TO REST, so I will certainly give this one a spin. Thomas Dekker is someone I like. I thought he was one of the few bright spots of the teens cast in NIGHTMARE remake, and he was good in his small part in LAID TO REST.

    I’m super stoked for Old Scratch. I think Hall delivers what we simply just want in horror movies: a good time.
