Robbins joins in on The Green Lantern
Tim Robbins is the latest to join up on the ever-growing cast of the Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Enterprises flick The Green Lantern, reports The Playlist. In it, Robbins will be Senator Hammond, father to Hector Hammond who is being played by An Education actor Peter Sarsgaard. He joins the cast that already includes Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan/Green Lantern with Blake Lively as Carol Ferris with Mark Strong still rumored to be Sinestro.
Robbins was rumored to be circling around the role of a father in one of these comic book properties, the strongest of those being Iron Man. Directing the feature is Martin Campbell with Michael Green, Marc Guggenheim and Greg Berlanti all having penned the script. Filming is expected to start up in March with a June 17th, 2011 release.
