Rob Zombie to direct Halloween sequel

As much as I don’t like Rob Zombie as either a musician or any of his films I do think he is a competent director, and hopefully he will find a better avenue for his films as his foray into the Halloween franchise was lackluster at best. 

Now comes word via Variety that Rob Zombie will in fact return to the directors chair in a direct sequel to his previous film and not a remake of the second Halloween film directed John Carpenter. Rob Zombie will again write and direct the film himself as he has done with all his previous works and will be titled “H2” .

Though I detested his last Halloween film I just hope this film will be like his original stories which though may not have worked in the end were all excitingly original and a film like that is always refreshing. I just don’t think we need any more back story as to why Michael Myers ended up the way he did. It’s always scarier when the villain is unknown than if we have his entire backstory and know every facet of his life.
