Richard Kelly’s The Box gets an earlier release date

After having such a tumultuous time in holding, Richard Kelly’s The Box is now even closer to its theatrical run.  Today comes word that The Box has now been pushed forward from its November release date to a release now on October 30th,2009.  The film tells the story of a happy couple played by Cameron Diaz and James Marsden who are given the opportunity to press a button on a box given to them by a stranger (Oscar nominee Frank Langella), that when pushed will give them a million dollars but in doing so will cause the death of someone somewhere in the world.

Richard Kellys previous credits include Southland Tales and Donnie Darko and will have Grammy nominees The Arcade Fire score the film.
