Rian Johnson scripting upcoming sci-fi film!!

Rian Johnson, the mastermind behind the amazing film Brick, and this years The Brothers Bloom, recently told the folks over at Moviehole that he is currently working on another film this one taking place in space! Keep in mind Johnson is not lookin to do a sci-fi shoot em up and selling out to the hollywood system after proving himself as a talented director.  Instead he is attempting something much more than that. Johnson has described his upcoming script as :

“very character-based sci-fi, and it’s not like big space-ships or anything, it’s very focused. It’s more like Children of Men. This is going to be very different to both [Brick and The Brothers Bloom] and that’s what excites me about it. It’s almost the exact opposite – it’s pretty dark”.
