Rebuilding The Shire; new Hobbit set images

Although Warner Bros/MGM is having one hell of a time wrangling in a director to helm the two-part Lord of the Rings prequel The Hobbit doesn’t stop them from setting everything up. After all, it’s been awhile since Middle Earth (aka New Zealand) has been around, and if they want to get this puppy filming by the end of the year they have to be prepared.

Down below are three new images from the set of The Hobbit where many are hurrying up to piece back together every hobbit’s little home in The Shire (via Cinema Blend). Now the only question remains as to who will end up directing. Currently the studios are busy trying to woo Peter Jackson back into taking the director’s chair, but he’s expressed before that he holds no interest investing said amount of years once more in the J.R.R. Tolkien world.:
