Producer expects Bond to return “soon”

The past couple of months have been rather interesting for fans of the James Bond franchise. The film was undoubtedly stalled due to the financial problems occurring at MGM. Then, it was reported that the next installment, tentatively titles Bond 23, had been canceled all together. However, that was quickly dismissed.

The film is still planned, but still stalled. However, producer Michael G. Wilson does expect the film to begin moving forward soon. UK IGN (via Coming Soon) interview Wilson at the launch of the newest James Bond video game, Blood Stone. The producer gave a quick update on the status of the film, “both Barbara and I are convinced that we’ll be bringing you another Bond film soon.”

Sam Mendes announced earlier that he’s still attached, and Daniel Craig is expected to return as well. This does sound promising to fans, but until MGM’s financial problems can be fixed, the film will continue to be delayed. Until then, you can check out the new Bond video game Blood Stone, which feature the voices of Daniel Craig, Judi Dench, and Joss Stone.
