Pride, Portman and Zombies

In a surprisingly awesome turn of events, actress Natalie Portman climbs onboard to produce and star in the novel adaptation of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. The new horror rendition of the popular Jane Austen novel when independence and love takes a strangely unexpected turn as people start turning into bloodthirsty zombies. Portman will play feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet, who is distracted from her quest to eradicate the zombie menace by the arrival of the arrogant Mr. Darcy (Variety).
The company on top of this project is Lionsgate but no word yet on who else will be thrown onto the bill. Natalie Portman can recently be seen on the big screen in the American adaptation of Brothers and is in the middle of filming The Black Swan.
