Polanski’s Ghost Writer premiering at Berlin

Submitted by Melissa Molina on December 16, 2009 – 10:19 amNo Comment

zz3f85287dRoman Polanski’s The Ghost Writer is finally going to be coming out as it premieres at the Berlin International Film Festival, reports Dark Horizons. The feature stars Ewan McGregor as a ghostwriter hired to complete the memoirs of a former British prime minister uncovers secrets that put his own life in jeopardy. Even though Polanski was locked up, he was still able to, for the most part, finish up the post-production for this film.

The Ghost Writer will be going toe-to-toe at the Berlin Film Festival with Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island. Do not worry, over in the U.S. we all will be able to watch Polanski’s film sometime in 2010 thanks to Summit Entertainment for picking up the distribution rights. Ewan McGregor was last seen in the George Clooney starring comedy The Men Who Stare at Goats and earlier this year alongside Tom Hanks in Angels & Demons.
