Pitt’s diving into the Dark Void

It’s not uncommon to find out that before a particular property is released in it’s original form that someone scoops up the rights for it to be adapted into a feature. This is the case with Dark Void, a video game set out to be released mid January for the XBox 360 and the PS3. Brad Pitt’s production company Plan B Entertainment and Reliance Big Entertainment have teamed up to grab the rights to this third person shooter. Not only will Pitt be producing this picture, but he’s set to possibly star as well.

“Void” centers on a a cargo pilot named Will (Pitt’s presumed character) who, after crashing in the Bermuda Triangle, ends up in a parallel universe where a band of humans must fight an alien threat they had long been thought extinct. Will and the other humans are outmanned but have a number of weapons and powers to help them beat back the alien incursion (THR). Nobody has been hired to write the adaptation yet.
