Philip Seymour Hoffman in Let the Right One In remake?

Yeah, this smells like a wild rumor that will be shot down instantly, but on the film’s New York Times database, Hoffman in listed for the mentor role to Abby (Eli). Matt Reeves is directing the Let the Right One In remake, now called Let Me In. You might recognize Matt from being the director of Cloverfield.

I’m very eager to see this film. Philip Seymour Hoffman would bring some prestige and weight to the production, but he do a stright up horror film? The original Swedish film is a modern vampire classic. I want to know what all of you Killers out there think?
