Paramount grabs a Patriot Down

Ian Stone continues to go and build up his writing credits as Paramount Pictures scoops up his screenplay entitled Patriot Down. Set to produce the feature is Brad Weston under Weston Pictures and Kevin J. Walsh. Though the logline is being kept quieter than the flight plans of Air Force One, the action script involves the U.S. president stuck in an unusual situation (THR).

This is the second script that Stone’s put together that is being thrown in the pre-production track, the first of the two being Babylon. Like previously stated, although he’s becoming quickly known now for his screen writing credits, he’s got a fairly long list of notches under his belt as second assistant director. Several of the films that he’s participated in as second assistant director includes G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, There Will Be Blood and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Paramount Pictures is keeping themselves rather busy distribution wise within the next couple of months, prepping themselves for the big releases of Shrek Forever After and the highly anticipated sequel Iron Man 2.
