Owen is a Killer Elite

Clive Owen stays within the walls of action films as he signs on to co-star with Jason Statham in the Gary McKendry film The Killer Elite. The picture is being produced by Tony Winley along with Michael Boughen, Steve Chasman and Sigurjon Sighvatsson.

The story, based off the novel by Ranulph Fiennes, follows a group of former British special forces members being hunted by a team of assassins led by Statham’s character, a former Navy Seal. Owen will take on the role of a senior field operative and member of a clandestine group protecting former special forces soldiers and their families (Variety).

Owen wrapped up filming the David Schwimmer directed film Trust recently and will start up filming for Intruders. Principal photography is set to start up next month for The Killer Elite.
