On Stranger Tides turns to 3-D
What a surprise, yet another popular franchise film is going to be converted to 3D. This time it’s in the form of Rob Marshall’s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides from Walt Disney Pictures. The Johnny Depp starring feature is starting up principal photography in Hawaii with a summer 2011 release date to hit. So it’s only natural that if they were to go and make such a big budget hopeful summer blockbuster make the highest amount as possible that they convert it to a form that costs a couple of more bucks per person.
After Jack Sparrow (Depp) meets Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) in the newly found New Orleans, they sail to find the fountain of youth together only to find that Blackbeard (Ian McShane) is after it too. With a cast that includes Penélope Cruz, Sam Claflin and Astrid Berges-Frisbey, keep reading here for even more updates on the fourth film of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides washes up into theaters in Disney Digital 3-D and in regular theaters on May 20th, 2011.
