Nolan still working on Batman 3 script
While casting rumors for Batman 3 are coming in nearly every other day, we have yet to hear any official news on the film. Aaron Eckhart revealed at Comic-Con that a script has been completed in some form, but nothing much has been heard since then. That’s because Christopher Nolan is currently still working on the final script for the film.
According to Batman-on-film, Nolan has yet to complete the script. “BATMAN 3 is still currently in the script stage,” according to the source.  Despite the news from Michael Caine that production would begin in April, no start date has been set by the studio. This is being done to allow Christopher and Jon Nolan enough time to get the script right. “As of yet, no start-of-production date, etc. have been set. From what I’ve been able to gather, we’re at the point where director Chris Nolan is giving brother Jonathan Nolan’s script a polish,” the source said.
The Internet is plagued with rumors about who’ll be Batman’s next adversary(s), and who will be starring in that role(s). An announcement was expected at this year’s Comic-Con, but Warner Bros. remained quite about the film. However, you should expect an announcement in the near future. “As far as an announcement, it’ll come via the trades before the end of 2010. Since it is already September, that means sooner rather than later,” according to the source. Nolan has already confirmed that The Joker won’t be returning in the film (here), nor would Mr. Freeze. The Riddler and Catwoman are the two who are most speculated to appear.
Batman 3 will open in July of 2012.
