No Krasinski for Captain America, but others emerge

John Krasinski, despite reports left and right about him possibly turning into the Captain, is not the final choice for Marvel, reports Deadline Hollywood. However, the search has expanded for Captain America as cuts have been made. In the running now is the likes of Chris Evans, Garrett Hedlund and Mike Vogel. Those who did not make the cut include Chace Crawford, Scott Porter, Patrick Flueger and Michael Cassidy.

Evans is best known in the comic book universe with his depiction of The Human Torch in the Fantastic Four movies along with co-starring with Zoe Saldana and Jeffrey Dean Morgan in the big screen version of The Losers already coming out on April 23rd. Then there’s Garrett Hedlund, who does not sound like too much of a name you remember until you realize that he plays Sam Flynn in the Tron Legacy film. Mike Vogel previously has been seen in several films including Cloverfield and Across the Hall and can next be seen in She’s Out Of My League along with Jay Baruchel.

Now the question is which one of these men will be to star in the Joe Johnston directed movie?
