No Hobbit until 2012?

large_theonering_thehobbit_animated-lmmevtteLooks like all of you Lord of the Rings junkies will have to wait even longer to get a fresh dose of Peter Jackson’s version of Middle Earth as the release date for The Hobbit gets pushed back into 2012. It’s not a matter of Jackson with the cast and the crew falling behind but it’s a matter of more so taking the time to make sure it’s picture perfect so-to-speak. Here’s more from Coming Soon:

“While it is still possible that it could come out in December 2011, it looks more likely to be 2012,” an executive close to the film told the site.

Do you think that it’s taking a bit too long for Jackson and company to put together The Hobbit, or is it getting the proper time needed in order to possibly dominate the first half of a new decade just like with what happened to Lord of the Rings?

i’m ok with this. While LOTR is more favored by adults, the hobbit is very much a children’s book, so the detail and love should be there.
We waited 45 years for LOTR.. we can wait 2 for The hobbit.
    Martin Freeman for Bilbo!!!!!!
