No Halloween 3D now?
According to Deadline, the once proposed Halloween 3D is now dead. The reason? Because Bob [Weinstein] “thought is was rushing too fast.” With Patrick Lussier filling in Rob Zombie’s shoes for this, and the quick rush to get into pre-production for a Summer 2010 date, The Weinstein Company has been facing plenty of money issues and layoffs lately.
Also, Halloween II did kind of bum business at the box office, doing half on opening weekend than the first one did. It’s current domestic total is a weak $32 million, exactly what the opening weekend box office was for the remake a few years back! It still seems like a 3D Zombie-less Halloween will come, but in time. Whatever that means.
