No 3-D for Breaking Dawn?

The Twilight films have been a major investment for Summit Entertainment, and with the popularity of 3-D, it’s surprising that any of the films have yet to see a 3-D release. However, the final chapter in the series, Breaking Dawn, has been rumored to get a 3-D release since Spring.

Now, Gossip Cop claims that neither film will be released in 3-D. The site claims that a representative of Summit told them “neither film is being shot in 3D”, and the rumors were completely “fabricated.” Of course, that doesn’t mean the films won’t receive a post-conversion. However, the source also notes there are no plans for that either. Then again, that didn’t stop WB from converting Clash of the Titans at the last minute, and things could change down the road.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part I will open on November 18, 2011. Part II on November 16, 2012.
