New Posters for Robin Hood

Russell Crowe looks about ready to ram that arrow straight through your skull in the brand new poster for the upcoming Ridley Scott film Robin Hood. Technically there are two new posters but one is more so a banner and the other is a regular one-sheet poster. Regardless of that, since we are emerging into 2010 which I have deemed ‘The Year of the Macho Men’, this is one of my more anticipated films.

It is late 12th century England and Sir Robin of Locksley, Earl of Huntington, (Russell Crowe) has returned to his North English village after fighting in the Third Crusade. Upon arrival, the nobleman and his servant discover the oppression caused by the new Sheriff of Nottingham (Matthew Macfadyen). Sir Robin uses his intelligence and military skills to free his home village from tyranny and corruption in England, by taking back what is rightfully his, and by taking back what rightfully is theirs, to restore justice and happiness to England. Robin must also win the affection of the recently widowed Lady Marion (Cate Blanchett) while leading his Merry Men of Sherwood Forest to victory and fairness.

Robin Hood comes out in theaters on May 14th, 2010. Here are the posters from /Film:

I've been in love with film ever since I was a kid. The time, effort and passion that runs through a majority most film is something that's always attracted me to this field. What ended up happening with my big appetite for all things going on in the industry turned from random blurbs on Facebook to an unexpected but fun job. College student by day, movie news writer by early morning...or any time in the day and night when more news arrives. Working towards my bachelor's degree in film, what a surprise. I do other things too, like draw, write stories, maintain a social life and feed my pet dragon Lockheed. If you want to know more about me, hunt me down and just ask.
