New Muppets movie gets a release date

The untitled Muppet movie, currently being written by Jason Segel and Nicholas Stoller, sets up it’s own release date for the holidays. EW (via Film School Rejects) reports that the reboot of sorts will be coming out on December 25th, 2011 from Walt Disney Studios. James Bobin is directing the script that includes Segel as the lead actor.

You can check out another one of Stoller’s scripts that made it to the big screen in theaters right now, in the form of the Forgetting Sarah Marshall spinoff film Get Him to the Greek. Stoller’s penned the Jack Black film Gulliver’s Travels, which is set for release on December 22nd and also includes Jason Segel in the cast.

I've been in love with film ever since I was a kid. The time, effort and passion that runs through a majority most film is something that's always attracted me to this field. What ended up happening with my big appetite for all things going on in the industry turned from random blurbs on Facebook to an unexpected but fun job. College student by day, movie news writer by early morning...or any time in the day and night when more news arrives. Working towards my bachelor's degree in film, what a surprise. I do other things too, like draw, write stories, maintain a social life and feed my pet dragon Lockheed. If you want to know more about me, hunt me down and just ask.
