New Line brings out the Mean Moms

New Line Cinema is putting together a big screen adaptation together of the Rosalind Wiseman novel Mean Moms. Yes, if your already guessing, Wiseman also wrote the novel version of Mean Girls that we saw on the big screen back in 2004. Those producing the feature include Jill Messick, Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot under Offspring Entertainment. Chad and Dara Creasey are putting together the script for the film which is still on the hunt for a director.

“Moms” will focus on a happily married mother of two who moves from small town America to the high class suburbs and is faced with confronting the cut throat world of competitive parenting (Variety). The films that came out under the Offspring banner include 17 Again, The Last Song and Step Up 3-D.

I've been in love with film ever since I was a kid. The time, effort and passion that runs through a majority most film is something that's always attracted me to this field. What ended up happening with my big appetite for all things going on in the industry turned from random blurbs on Facebook to an unexpected but fun job. College student by day, movie news writer by early morning...or any time in the day and night when more news arrives. Working towards my bachelor's degree in film, what a surprise. I do other things too, like draw, write stories, maintain a social life and feed my pet dragon Lockheed. If you want to know more about me, hunt me down and just ask.
