New images from Legends of the Guardian

Yes, this film was first known as Guardians of Ga’Hoole, based off of the written novel series of the same name. Now it’s Legends of the Guardian, according to Animal Logic, Village Roadshow and Warner Bros Pictures. The Zack Snyder directed CGI animated feature has been mentioned here and there for the past few months, not really taking on that much steam marketing wise due to lack of things to show off, since the film is still getting the final touches for it’s inevitable release date.

Now USA Today presents to us the first five images from the upcoming feature, starring the voice talents of Hugo Weaving, Emilie de Ravin, Abbie Cornish, Sam Neill, Jim Sturgess and Helen Mirren. Soren (Sturgess), a young barn owl, is kidnapped by owls of St. Aggie’s, ostensibly an orphanage, where owlets are brainwashed into becoming soldiers. He and his new friends escape to the island of Ga’Hoole, to assist its noble, wise owls who fight the army being created by the wicked rulers of St. Aggie’s.

Legends of the Guardian, based off of the first three books in the series, comes out in theaters on September 24th. Look at the beautiful new images below.:
