Peter Jackson’s highly anticipated production of Neil Blomkamp’s District 9 has just released a new poster today (via /film)and in anticipation of the films release next month we have included the original 6 minute short film that the film is based on.

Neil Blomkamp’s work on the short film is what bought the director’s name to the masses, and was at one time considered a front runner to direct a feature film based on the Halo video game.  At this time there is still no director attached to Halo.
