New details on the Howling remake

I think most horror fans kind of forgot about this remake, I know I have. Apparently, the remake or reboot to the long running Howling franchise is now known as The Howling Reborn and today the plot details from writer/director Joe Nimziki has emerged:

A teenager graduating from high school finally gets the girl he’s been pining over for years, but unfortunately for him once he’s landed the love of his life he discovers that he’s cursed and will transform into a werewolf. Even worse, not only does he have his own internal conflict to contend with, he must also battle an entire pack of werewolves who are hellbent on killing both him and his new girlfriend.

The six sequels to the ground-breaking Joe Dante flick has offered up plenty of wackier ideas, but based on this plot synopsis, this new Howling sounds very Twilight in our eyes. We shall see, as the film is heading to shoot in May up in Montreal, Canada.
