Negative Happy Chainsaw Edge goes on DVD

The Japanese action pumped drama Negative Happy Chainsaw Edge finally gets itself a DVD release overseas thanks to Well Go USA Home Entertainment. With a scheduled March 30th release, here’s a little more on what you should know about the film.

Directed by Takuji Kitamura, the feature has a heavy blend of live action adventure mixed in with a cool fantasy tint of CGI, which comes from the same people who helped create the special effects for Death Note

Negative Happy Chainsaw Edge takes place in modern day Tokyo where Yosuke (Hayato Ichihara) encounters Eri (Megumi Seki), a beautiful high school girl when suddenly a battle erupts against an immortal giant who brandishes a vicious saw. Eri and Yosuke must come together to understand why this chainsaw-welding ghost continues to appear and if there’s a dark message that it’s supposed to communicate to Eri or just simply meant to end their lives.
