National Society of Film Critics names it’s best of year
This year the National Society of Film Critics released their picks for the best films of the year and as a usual they did stray from the pack with their choices . This year the NSFC chose the animated foreign film Waltz With Bashir as their top pick for best film of the year along with Happy go lucky taking the big sweep in major categories. Waltz with bashir edged out competition by 6 points leaving Happy Go Lucky and Wall E tied for second place with 20 points a peace while the film also took honors for best director Mike leigh, best actress Sally Hawkins, and best supporting actor Eddie Marsan.
Also of note is Marsans stealing of Heath Ledgers current winning streak for best supporting actor. With most major acting wins already having been nominated it will be interesting to see if Marsan will now be considered a dark horse for oscar gold.
