Submitted by Melissa Molina on January 14, 2010 – 2:56 pmNo Comment

Straight from the folks at Production Weekly, they report that Bill Murray will be taking over the role of Happy from actor Toby Kebbell in the upcoming feature Passion Play. The feature is written and directed by Mitch Glazer, who’s worked previously on scripts such as The Recruit. The plot revolves around an angel under the thumb of a ruthless gangster is saved by a trumpet player down on his luck. The cast also includes Megan Fox, Mickey Rourke and Kelly Lynch.

Filming is already going on for the dramatic thriller. Bill Murray is in a couple of other upcoming projects at the moment, one of them being the voice of Mr. Alligator in Hoodwinked Too! Hood VS. Evil. The other is the anticipated new installment of Ghostbusters 3 where Murray reprises his role of Dr. Peter Venkman. No word yet on when Passion Play will come out in theaters yet.
