Mr. & Mrs. Smith gets the reboot

Submitted by Melissa Molina on February 8, 2010 – 1:12 pmOne Comment

Regency Enterprises decides to hop onto the reboot bandwagon, as so many other companies are doing nowadays, and are semi-rebooting Mr. & Mrs. Smith. First off you must be thinking, what is there to reboot? I have no idea, but Regency found themselves a loop hole of a plot through this upcoming project called Mr. & Mrs. Jones. It’s set as an origin story about a similar but differently named couple, showing how a pair of twentysomething spies are set up as a fake married couple when they graduate agency training (Vulture).

Producing the picture is Akiva Goldsman, attached as producer to several pictures which include Hancock, I Am Legend, Jonah Hex and The Losers. No word yet on who else will be attached to write, direct, star, or any of that good (or bad) stuff.
