Moretensen takes over for The Talking Cure
Christoph Waltz was attached to be in the David Cronenberg directed film The Talking Cure, that is until he jumped ship to go for the novel adaptation of Water for Elephants. Now with the absence of the Academy Award winner, what is a production company to do? Viggo Mortensen gallops in to the rescue, taking on the role that Waltz dropped off of in order to keep the production rolling right on schedule. Principal photography is already expected to start up in May.
Mortensen will star as Freud opposite Michael Fassbender as Jung. Keira Knightley will play Sabina, a disturbed young woman brought to see Jung by her father, with Jung and Sabina have an affair (Deadline Hollywood). Mortensen just co-starred with Kodi Smit-McPhee in the John Hillcoat directed film The Road.
