thewhistleblowerLarysa Kondracki is getting together quite the cast for what is known as her directorial debut. The writer and director of her upcoming feature “The Whistleblower” has wrangled herself up Vanessa Redgrave, Monica Bellucci and David Strathairn along with actress Rachel Weisz starring in the Voltage Pictures project. Story centers on a policewoman, played by Weisz, who risks her job and her own safety to uncover and bring to light a scandal involving both American contractors and the United Nations in postwar Bosnia (Variety).

Kondracki recently wrote along with Nadia Benamara and directed the 2009 film “Viko”. Weisz is set to appear in the Peter Jackson directed film “The Lovely Bones” which is opening in theaters on January 15, 2010.
