More on The Green Lantern

Here’s the tiniest of updates when it comes to the overall production of the Martin Campbell directed comic book adaptation of The Green Lantern. Geoff Johns, who’s now the brand new Chief Creative Officer of DC Entertainment, got to tip-toe over to the set of The Green Lantern and sneak a peek at what’s going on in New Orleans. This is is what he shared on his Twitter (CS!).:

Back from an amazing trip to Green Lantern town a.k.a. New Orleans!! Ryan IS Hal. And Mark Strong is going to be a brilliant Sinestro.

Kilowog, the Guardians, Oa…all breathtaking. The age of Green Lantern is upon us!!

This could be promising to hear all of this, and it could be easy to swallow if it wasn’t for the fact that he’s Chief now within DC Entertainment, so for all we know he could be just feeding us whatever just to continually hype this up. That or he’s telling the truth, but right now who knows.

The Green Lantern stars Ryan Reynolds along with Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Tim Robbins and Mark Strong. The DC Comics and Warner Bros. Pictures film is expected to come out in theaters on June 17th, 2011.
