More on The Avengers, Captain America and Ant-Man
It must unofficially be Marvel movie news day, because the updates keep on flooding in. The latest comes from Screen Rant, /Film and IESB, the first of the three updates on the fanboys dream project The Avengers. Editor-in-chief of Marvel comics Joe Quesada spilled the beans to many on the Twitter universe by a couple of ‘tweets’.:
Definition of “goose bumps.” Pressing enter and watching a screenplay entitled “AVENGERS” come out of my printer.
It’s official, I have the greatest job in the world.

That is totally awesome to hear that The Avengers script is done, or at least one of the drafts from scribe Zak Penn. He’s written several other Marvel adaptations like The Incredible Hulk, X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand. Here’s hoping that the next update from Quesada states more into what the Marvel movie entails within the confides of the pages.
The second of the updates comes in the form of casting news for The First Avenger: Captain America. Although there is no word yet on who on the short list will end up playing Steve Rogers, there is rumor sprouting about on his side kick Bucky and who could be him. Word has it that television actor Robert Buckley is taking on the role of the sidekick. We’ll let you know whether or not that’s true in a future posting.
The last one is in regards to Ant-Man, the picture that most people seem to not be paying much attention about. Disney wants to put their hand into the upcoming production, collaborating for the first time with Marvel and doing an animated version of the superhero. Apparently Stan “The Man” Lee is already chatting it up with Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead director Edgar Wright about really chugging this production along.
Anyone excited for The First Avenger: Captain America, Ant-Man or The Avengers? Or are you all just waiting for Thor and Iron Man 2?

I really don’t care much for Ant-man, but Captain America and Avengers are definitely on my “Most anticipated films” list.
