More news on Green Lantern in the coming months
While many are waiting for Nolan to make his big announcement on Batman 3 and The Man of Steel, news on Martin Campbell’s Green Lantern has been scarce. The film is currently in post-production, and work on the sequel is currently underway (here). However, Ryan Reynolds (Hal Jordan) promises more news on the film in the next few months.
Reynolds was interviewed by Joblo, and assures fans news will be coming soon. “I feel like Green Lantern is one of those films that really starts in post-production. Lots of news will be coming up in the next few months, that’s for sure,” he said. One thing fans want to see is the final design of the Green Lantern’s costume. We got a look (here) before Comic-con, which Reynolds said would be completed in post-production. The design was met with mixed reactions from fans, but maybe the final product will be more accepted.
One reason as to why we haven’t seen anything yet is because Campbell is busy creating the world of the Green Lantern. “The scope is so enormous, and Martin Campbell is marshaling such massive forces in many different departments to get this together,” he said. The film will reportedly feature the entire Green Lantern Corps, with around 300 Green Lanterns.  A teaser trailer should also be expected soon.
Green Lantern will open on June 17, 2011.
