More Mamma Mia! from Seyfried

amanda-seyfried-oscars-2009It looks like there might be more Abba inspired musical numbers on the horizon as “Mamma Mia!” star Amanda Seyfried spills the beans on the possibility of a sequel. Here is a snippet from the BBC article on what Seyfried has to say on the project.:

She told Newsbeat: “I’ve been talking to some insiders and it’s not something that they haven’t been working on. I don’t actually know anything other than that.

“I know it’s still going to be Abba music, because what else would it be? Come on, I wouldn’t do Mamma Mia 2 without Benny and Bjorn.”

If you want to read more on what Seyfried had to say on the sequel and how it was on the set of the first film you can read it all right here. The “Mamma Mia!” movie originated from a Broadway show that turned into a box office hit. With the success of the first film, its no surprise that Universal Pictures wants to take advantage of the box office achievement despite that it opened toe-to-toe with the box office smash hit “The Dark Knight”.
