More become part of The Killer Elite

Prison Break‘s Dominic Purcell and Robert De Niro are joining up on the cast for The Killer Elite along with Aden Young, Ben Mendelsohn, Yvonne Strahovski, Firass Dirani and Lachy Hulme. The story, based off the novel by Ranulph Fiennes, follows a group of former British special forces members being hunted by a team of assassins led by Statham’s character, a former Navy Seal. Gary McKendry is directing the picture with Steve Chasman, Michael Boughen and Sigurjon Sighvatsson.

Principal photography is already underway in Melbourne, reports Coming Soon. De Niro is currently in the middle of filming his role for the Neil Burger picture The Dark Fields. You can see him this September 3rd on the big screen once more in the Ethan Maniquis/Robert Rodriguez film Machete.
