More are for Ga’hoole
THR reports that Hugo Weaving, Geoffrey Rush, David Wenham and Sam Neill will all be lending their voice to the animated Zack Snyder directed film Guardians of Ga’hoole. Penning the script is John Orloff and John Collee with Zareh Nalbandian producing under Animal Logic.
The story centers on Soren, a young barn owl, is kidnapped by owls of St. Aggie’s, ostensibly an orphanage, where owlets are brainwashed into becoming soldiers. He and his new friends escape to the island of Ga’Hoole, to assist its noble, wise owls who fight the army being created by the wicked rulers of St. Aggie’s. Already on the voice cast is Abbie Cornish, Emilie de Ravin, Jay Laga’aia, Helen Mirren, Emily Barclay, Ryan Kwanten and Miriam Margoyles. The movie will be released in theaters in the U.S. on September 24th, 2010.
