Miley Cyrus goes into horror

While she’s on the verge of her last season of the Hannah Montana show, Miley Cyrus has already began to branch out past a post-Disney life. She was in that Nicholas Sparks penned film The Last Song and now today, comes word that she’s entering the horror genre with Wake. Based on a series of books by author Lisa McMann, Paramount and MTV are hoping to spark a franchise out of her books with Miley in the lead.

Christopher London (Blood and Chocolate) is tapped to write the screenplay. Janie (Cyrus) is a 17-year-old girl with the unwanted ability to become sucked into other people’s dreams. There, she sees things she would rather not see. But when she gets pulled into a terrible nightmare, Janie goes from mere witness to possible victim. No word on release date yet.
