Michael Bay reveals his indie side with new film

For some time now, Showest Vanguard winner Michael Bay (pause for reaction) has been saying that upon completion of Transformers 2, he would take on a smaller film more in the vein of Pulp Fiction, before taking on the third Transformers film.  Today, comes word now that the film Bay intends to make will be an adaptation of a news article first published in the Miami New Times, entitled Pain & Gain, which would be a dark comedy based around the world of bodybuilding, with a kidnapping plot with extortion thrown in the mix.    The film has been written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who previously penned The Chronicle of Narnia films, along with the upcoming Captain America film.

Expect the film the true story to be taken to the extreme, with a few dozen car crashes, perfectly developed explosions,  and slow motion to put you more into the world of professional bodybuilding….The Michael Bay way.
