Metropolitan takes on Casino Jack

The George Hickenlooper thriller Casino Jack is getting scooped up by Metropolitan for a domestic release, reports Variety. The picture has a cast that includes Kevin Spacey, Barry Pepper, Kelly Preston and Jon Lovitz. Bill Marks, George Zakk and Gary Howsam are set as producers with Roller Coaster Entertainment and Vortex Word Pictures attached to the feature.

The script, written by Norman Snider, centers on a hot shot Washington DC lobbyist and his protégé go down hard as their schemes to peddle influence lead to corruption and murder. The thriller is expected to be released sometime in the fall, though no exact date has been set at the moment.
