Megatron’s new alternate mode revealed (Updated)
This article contains SPOILERS for Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
It seems those rumors about Megatron’s new alternate mode have turned out to be true after all. Throughout the entire time Bay was shooting Transformers: Dark of the Moon in Chicago, a mysterious tanker was seen on the set. Many were speculating the purpose of the truck, and which character it would turn out to be. Rumors surfaced in late-September (here) that it was Megatron’s new alternate form, but many doubted it.
With the release of the new toy set for the film, TFW can now confirm that IS Megatron. It also seems that Megatron will be scarred from his last battle when he was defeated, along with The Fallen in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. It’s unknown just how the Decepticon leader will look in robot form as the toys have yet to be released. And given Bay’s previous notion of secrecy on the film, we most likely won’t until the film’s July 1st release gets closer.
