McG means War

No, director McG is not randomly going to war, and if he did I hope he kept a few Terminators from Terminator Salvation on hand. What McG is doing is in the middle of negotiations to sign up for the film This Means War. The cast of this picture already includes Reese Witherspoon and Bradley Cooper, the story being of two best friends who are also spies and fall in love with the same woman (Witherspoon). The men’s bond disintegrates, and their ensuing battle escalates (THR).

The feature is penned by Role Models scribe Timothy Dowling with Overbrook and Robert Simonds producing. No word yet on when filming is set to begin or any form of a release date announced as well. This project has been buried in development hell for years, so for all we know it could still possibly be awhile until even more happens with this piece. McG is currently in the middle of pre-production for the big screen version of the hit musical Spring Awakening.
