Master of Horror John Carpenter to receive Lifetime Achievement Award
From Dark Star to the upcoming feature The Ward, director John Carpenter has been the bad boy of cinema, a rebel who is notorious for his anti-happy endings. Halloween, The Fog, The Thing, and Escape from New York cemented his place as one of the finest filmmakers of the last century. Don’t forgot about his ‘lesser’ films like They Live, Ghosts of Mars, Christine, Big Trouble in Little China, and In the Mouth of Madness - the man has shaped my fandom more than any other moviemaker.
John Carpenter will get his much deserved award on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at the Wyndham Orlando Resort.
