Marvel’s Runaways to begin filming in January

A site called Production Weekly announced on Twitter that The Runaways, a popular Marvel Comic, is heading into production in January 2011, with director Peter Sollet (Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist). The comic is an usual property for Marvel, which features superheros but not in the tradition sense and more females on the team. The comic is widely popular after its short initial run from its debut in 2003. With Edgar Wright still tied up with Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and Marvel waiting for him to be fre enough to start on Ant-Man, The Runaways is the next closest to production, says /Film.
