Marvel shows off Capt.’s shield and the Infinity Gauntlet from Thor

Marvel had an amazing panel at SDCC 2010 and here’s two more goodies from their upcoming films.

What’s exciting about seeing the Infinity Gauntlet and the gems, is how in the comics it ties to Thanos, Galactus, and the Silver Surfer. Each Gem grants its bearer complete mastery over one aspect of the universe: Time, Space, Mind, Soul, Reality, and Power. Now all-powerful and desperate to win the affections of Death, Thanos decides to offer the entity a gift of love by erasing half the sentient life in the universe (via Wiki). So could this be the strand leading us into The Avengers?
