Mann and Bosworth say Goodnight Moon
Leslie Mann and Kate Bosworth go into drama as they take on roles in the upcoming picture Goodnight Moon, written and directed by Elgin James. They join up on the cast which includes AnnaSophia Robb, Juno Temple, Chris Coy and Kyle Gallner. Jamie Patricof is set to produce the semi-autobiographical picture, expected to arrive in theaters sometime in 2011.
The story revolvse around two young girls who find themselves in trouble after they run away to Los Angeles and hook up with skaters and street kids. Mann plays Temple’s mom, a woman who works at a secondhand clothing store but whose best years are behind her. Bosworth will be Mann’s sister. Coy will play an opportunistic, sociopathic street kid, and Gallner is a skater; both use the girls to run a scam that goes bad (THR).
Mann, who recently appeared in the Zac Efron starring film 17 Again, will be seen in the Glenn Ficarra and Jon Requa written/directed I Love You Phillip Morris. Bosworth is next being shown on the big screen alongside James Marsden in the remake of Straw Dogs, coming out on February 25th, 2011.
