Magnolia goes to Zero

Magnolia Pictures swoops in today and grabs the North American distribution rights to Countdown to Zero. The documentary is directed by Lucy Walker which focuses on the escalating nuclear arms race. Produced by Lawrence Bender, the film made its debut at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and got itself enough attention to warrant a release for sometime later this year.

The film, which argues for nuclear disarmament, features such global figures as Jimmy Carter, Mikhail Gorbachev, Pervez Musharraf and Tony Blair (THR). Out of the pictures being distributed by Magnolia Pictures this year is Ondine along with Survival of the Dead.
