Machete arrives on Labor Day

Deadline Hollywood is now reporting that Robert Rodriguez’s Grindhouse spin-off, Machete, will be released on September 3rd.

“That’s Labor Day Weekend when it’ll open wide. This is the pic that 20th Century Fox won after a heated Hollywood studio bidding war. Robert Rodriguez wrote and co-directed Machete with Ethan Maniquis, his longtime editor. He produces with Rick Schwartz, Aaron Kaufman, Iliana Nikolic and Elizabeth Avellan. Stars are Danny Trejo, Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez and Lindsay Lohan.”

I’ve been very much looking forward to this film ever since it was announced. The only thing I don’t like about this film so far is the casting of Jessica Alba and Lindsay Lohan.
