MacFarlane is hugging onto Ted

Seth MacFarlane and Universal Pictures join forces to create quite a pretty budget price for his upcoming directorial debut on Ted. The clearly R rated comedy is getting a budget slapped on it of $65 Million with Universal hoping to already push this sucker into the filming stage by the end of this year, says Deadline. MacFarlane has been a hot commodity for years, so it’s no surprise that Universal showed the green, especially with this being a script put together by MacFarlane, Wellsley Wild and Alec Sulkin who collaborate on Family Guy.

The plot is pretty much under wraps, other than the fact that it’s about a man and his teddy bear. MacFarlane will be doing the voice of the CG teddy bear. We all know MacFarlane’s work to a certain degree, mainly because he created American Dad, Family Guy and The Cleveland Show. You can catch episodes of Family Guy on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim or on television networks TBS and the CW at all sorts of odd times during each week.

I've been in love with film ever since I was a kid. The time, effort and passion that runs through a majority most film is something that's always attracted me to this field. What ended up happening with my big appetite for all things going on in the industry turned from random blurbs on Facebook to an unexpected but fun job. College student by day, movie news writer by early morning...or any time in the day and night when more news arrives. Working towards my bachelor's degree in film, what a surprise. I do other things too, like draw, write stories, maintain a social life and feed my pet dragon Lockheed. If you want to know more about me, hunt me down and just ask.
