Lost Boys: The Thirst trailer arrives

The third Lost Boys film, subtitled The Thirst arrives with a trailer. The film is directed by Dario Piana and features Corey Feldman as Edgar Frog. It’s scheduled to be released on DVD in the Fall of 2010 from WB and it’s plot has Frog, who is now down-and-out, receiving a small fortune from a vampire-romance novelist who’s son is kidnapped by vampires, as well as stopping a drug that once taken, turns humans into vampires.

Interestingly, long ago was a film called Trance was written by Arrowinthehead‘s John Fallon, but never released. The film was directed by Hans Rodionoff, who serves as a screenwriter to Lost Boys: The Thirst. That film was shelved but features a very similar story, as in Trance, a rave has sexy girls that turn into blood thirsty killers after taking a mysterious new drug. Hmm. While iMDB states the film has a new director and is in “post-production”, the closely resembling plot and the Hans Rodionoff connection is too curious to think about.
